We believe we can build a strong, clean energy economy and enjoy economic vitality. Every business and every person can make a meaningful difference in our collective effort to reach 100% clean energy.
For businesses
1. Cut energy use. Energy efficiency is the most effective way to cut your energy bill and to help move the Northwest on the path to 100% clean energy. More information can be found here.
2. Power your business with solar energy. There are lots of options, ranging from installing solar panels at your business to participating in community solar projects. Visit here for Washington state and here for Oregon for more information.
3. Tell your story. If you are part of The Wave, you are probably already doing a wide variety of things that contribute to getting to 100% clean energy. From installing rooftop solar to switching to LEDs, there are stories big and small of concrete steps. Make it public: use social media, use signage, make a video, do creative things at your facility.
4. Engage your community and visitors. Ask your community members, fans, and visitors to join you in these efforts.
5. Advocate for policy change. One of the major barriers to progress on the path to 100% clean energy is the lack of policy. Combined, the members of The Wave are a potent advocacy force that can help break down these barriers.
6. Commit to 100% clean energy. Hundreds of businesses big and small are making this commitment and moving in that direction. Join the regional movement here.

1. Join the growing movement advocating for 100% clean energy in the Northwest.
2. Cut energy use where you live and learn. Energy efficiency is the most effective way to cut your energy bill and to help move the Northwest on the path to 100% clean energy. Commit to your Next 5 actions here. If you have a home, get an energy efficiency audit of your home. If you are a student, ask your school if they have done an energy audit and advocate for increasing efficiency there. 3. Power where you live and learn with solar energy. Solar is a great clean way to light up where you live. There are lots of options, ranging from putting solar panels on your roof to participating in community solar projects. 4. Vote. Elections matter, and who represents you at every level of office matters for reaching the goal of 100% clean energy. From president to school board, state representative to attorney general, governor to city council, each and every one of your elected officials make critical decisions about climate and clean energy.
5. Spread the word about 100% clean energy and climate change. The more that people hear about what they can do to make a difference, the more people that get involved. Talk to friends, family, fellow students, and co-workers about it. Spread information about solutions through social media. Talking about solutions works to accelerate change.
